User Experience and Interface Design - Artful Home

In my role at Artful Home as Lead Digital Designer, one of my responsibilities was designing and updating various site experiences to maintain industry best practices and a cohesive visual brand experience. I helped establish Artful Home’s current site styles and worked closely with a front end developer to implement design solutions.

I greatly enjoyed learning and developing my UI/UX skills in this role, conducting competitive analysis, A/B testing design variations, and attending user experience conferences. I pride myself in being able to think like the user and customer and bring that perspective not only to UI/UX specific projects, but all my design projects.


Apparel Product Detail Page

I designed and tested the order and information presented on the apparel detail page, designing and implementing the swatch and size selection design, expandable information categories, the interactive size chart, and how to measure pop up.


Reviews features and stylings

I reworked and revised the default Power Reviews visuals to match the brand aesthetic and curated which details to feature for Artful Home customers.


Log In + Update Password

I designed a simple and easy to use pop up window prompting customers to log in for their orders. If a customer cannot remember their password, or would like to update their password or email, I created an option in my account to mange these settings.


Email Sign Up Window

In effort to welcome new users to Artful Home and encourage email list sign up, I designed a triggered popup window to capture new email subscribers. This window is opened based on time on the site for new users without existing cookies. I A/B tested this design with alternative options and language to ensure best customer response.


Email Preferences Page

I designed and customized this brand specific page that is accessed if a subscriber opts to unsubscribe from the link in their email. I also designed the opt-down option for customers still interested, but looking for less frequent messaging.


Update Subscriptions in My Account

In effort to reduce customer service calls requesting to unsubscribe from email or catalog, I designed a subscriptions section of my account, featuring easy preference management.


Start A Return

I worked closely with the customer care manager to hear the concerns of their team and needs of the Artful Home customer to design this easy to follow return process that can be accessed from the site footer without a user profile or in “my account” for registered users.
